9 Technical Glitches in Income Tax Portal: KSCAA Submits Representation before CBDT
The Karnataka State Chartered Accountants Association (KSCAA) submitted a representation to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) highlighting nine technical glitches in the Income Tax portal. These issues include frequent login failures, slow response times, difficulties in accessing and downloading essential documents like Form 26AS, AIS, and TIS, and error messages during return submission. The glitches have caused significant disruptions for taxpayers and professionals, especially with the approaching deadlines for filing income tax returns and TDS returns. The KSCAA urged the CBDT to address these issues promptly to ensure smoother compliance and reduce the stress on users. The representation aims to improve the functionality of the portal and support taxpayers in meeting their regulatory obligations without undue difficulties.
