Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we are asked most often.

  • What is White Collar Professional?

White Collar Professional is a marketplace connecting people and businesses who need professional services with verified chartered professionals. Service recipients raise an enquiry, registered professionals bid for it, and a Relationship Manager oversees the engagement from enquiry through to completion.

  • Who can create an account?

Anyone can register. A new account is a Registered User, which lets you raise service enquiries, follow professionals, read News-Updates and apply for jobs and assignments. Holding a professional membership additionally makes you a Professional User, who can also provide services.

  • How do I become a Professional User?

Submit a professional membership from your profile — the platform recognises Chartered Accountant (ICAI), Company Secretary (ICSI), Cost & Works Accountant (ICMAI) and Advocate / Lawyer (Bar Council of India). An administrator reviews the registration number and any supporting document. Once a membership is approved you gain the Professional User role; until then you continue as a Registered User and can re-apply if a membership is not approved.

  • Can I hold more than one membership?

Yes. A professional may hold several approved memberships — for example both CA and CS — and each appears on your profile with its own registration number. Only one membership can be under review at a time.

  • How does a service enquiry work?

You raise an enquiry against the services you need. It goes to a Relationship Manager, who may refine the details before opening it for bidding. Registered professionals then bid, without seeing who you are. You can compare bids, make counter-offers, and assign one or several professionals before paying. Your identity stays private to the Relationship Manager until you have paid and assigned.

  • Who is the Relationship Manager and why am I dealing with them?

A Relationship Manager is assigned to every service enquiry and is the single point of contact between the service recipient and the service providers while bidding is open. You can see their name, mobile number and email, and message them directly from the platform.

  • What files can I upload, and is there a size limit?

PDF, image, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files are accepted, and each enquiry folder has a 100 MB storage limit. If a file is within those limits and still will not upload, report it through Technical Support.

  • What is the difference between Customer Support and Technical Support?

Customer Support handles anything about your account, a service enquiry, a payment, a refund or a dispute. Technical Support handles faults in the website or application itself — sign-in failures, failed uploads, pages that will not load. Raising a case in the right channel gets it to the right team first time.

  • Where can I read the platform's policies?

All policies — including the terms and conditions, privacy policy, and the professional service fee and refund policy — are published on the Legal Policies page, each with its version and publication date.

  • I cannot sign in to my account. What should I do?

Check that your email address is verified and try resetting your password first. If sign-in still fails, report it through Technical Support with the exact error message shown on screen so it can be traced to your account.

Still need help?

Customer Support handles accounts, enquiries and payments. Technical Support handles faults in the platform itself.
