Memberships & Professional Users questions
How do I become a Professional User?
Submit a professional membership from your profile — the platform recognises Chartered Accountant (ICAI), Company Secretary (ICSI), Cost & Works Accountant (ICMAI) and Advocate / Lawyer (Bar Council of India). An administrator reviews the registration number and any supporting document. Once a membership is approved you gain the Professional User role; until then you continue as a Registered User and can re-apply if a membership is not approved.
Can I hold more than one membership?
Yes. A professional may hold several approved memberships — for example both CA and CS — and each appears on your profile with its own registration number. Only one membership can be under review at a time.
Which memberships does the platform recognise?
Four professional memberships: Chartered Accountant (ICAI), Company Secretary (ICSI), Cost & Works Accountant (ICMAI) and Advocate / Lawyer (Bar Council of India). If you hold none of these, choose "None of the Above" and continue as a Registered User.
What do I need to submit for a membership?
Your membership or registration number for that body. Advocates must also upload one supporting document, as a PDF or an image. Each membership number can belong to only one approved account; the check ignores upper and lower case.
How long does membership approval take, and how will I know?
Our team reviews each membership by hand. You are notified by e-mail, push notification and in-app notification when your membership is approved or rejected, or if we need more information or a document from you.
My membership was rejected. Can I apply again?
Yes. You remain a Registered User and can submit the membership again from your profile, correcting whatever the rejection message asked for. If you did not use a referral code the first time, you can still add one when you re-apply.
Can I apply for a second membership while one is under review?
No. Only one membership can be under review at a time. Once the review is complete, approved or rejected, you can submit the next one.
What changes once I become a Professional User?
Your approved membership appears on your profile, you are listed in the Professionals directory, and you can register for services, bid on enquiries and receive Direct Enquiries from your profile. Your Expertise is used to bring you relevant Queries and News.
