Service Enquiry

Raising an enquiry, the Relationship Manager and how an enquiry moves forward.

Service Enquiry questions

  • How does a service enquiry work?

You add one or more services to an enquiry, describe your requirement and submit it. A Relationship Manager reviews it and may refine the details, and any change needs your approval before the enquiry opens for bidding. Professionals who are registered for every service in your enquiry then bid on the whole enquiry, without seeing who you are. You compare the bids, can make counter offers, and then choose one professional and pay. Your identity stays private to the Relationship Manager until you have paid and assigned.

  • Who is the Relationship Manager and why am I dealing with them?

A Relationship Manager is assigned to every service enquiry and is the single point of contact between the service recipient and the service providers while bidding is open. You can see their name, mobile number and email, and message them directly from the platform.

  • Who can raise a Service Enquiry?

Any signed-in user, whether Registered User or Professional User. A professional who raises an enquiry acts as the Service Recipient for it and cannot bid on their own enquiry.

  • Can I include several services in one enquiry?

Yes. Add one or more services, across different service categories, to your enquiry and submit them together. Each submitted enquiry gets its own Service Enquiry ID.

  • What details do I need to give?

A description of your requirement, the service location, the time you expect it to take (days, weeks, months or years), and any supporting PDFs or images.

  • Can I raise the same enquiry twice?

Not within 24 hours. Once you have raised an enquiry for a service, you cannot raise another enquiry for that same service for 24 hours.

  • Are the estimated costs on the Services page final?

No. The estimated cost or cost range shown for each service is for information only. The actual fee depends on your requirement, the depth of the work and the professional, and is set by the bids you receive.

  • The Relationship Manager modified my enquiry. What happens now?

You are notified and asked to review the change. You can compare it with your original enquiry, and it opens for bidding only after you approve the modified version.

  • Can I send an enquiry directly to a specific professional?

Yes. Use Raise an Enquiry on that professional's profile. After the Relationship Manager approves it, the enquiry goes to that professional only and is not opened for bidding by others. You can still make a counter offer before you pay.

  • What are Promotional Services?

Some services are marked as Promotional and are offered at a concessional fee or free of charge. Use the Promotional filter on the Services page to see them.

  • What do the enquiry statuses mean?

Open: the enquiry has not been paid for or assigned yet. In-Progress: you have paid and the professional is working on it. Feedback Pending: the professional has marked the work closed and your feedback is awaited. Completed: the work is closed and you have given your feedback and rating.

  • Can a Relationship Manager raise an enquiry on my behalf?

Yes. A Relationship Manager can create an enquiry for you. It is sent to you for confirmation and goes ahead only after you accept it.
