Profile Building

Building a profile that earns trust: expertise, firm details, experience and certificates.

Profile Building questions

  • Why should I complete my profile?

A complete profile builds trust. Recipients look at your memberships, expertise, experience and feedback before choosing a professional, and recruiters look at the same details when you apply. Your Interest Area or Expertise also decides which Queries, Insights and News are shown to you first.

  • What is the difference between Interest Area and Expertise?

They are the same topic tags under two names. A Registered User picks Interest Areas, the subjects they want to follow. A Professional User picks Expertise, the subjects they practise in. Both shape what you see in Feeds and News, and Expertise also helps people find you in the Professionals directory.

  • What are Firm Details and when do I need them?

Firm Details are your firm's name as per GST, GST registration number and address as per GST. Every field is required, and you must add them before you can register to provide professional services.

  • Can I choose my own profile URL?

Yes. You can change the username in your profile link to any name that is not already taken. Your profile can then be shared through that link.

  • What can I add to my profile?

A profile photo and banner, an About Me section, city and state, memberships, Interest Area or Expertise, work experience (Practice, Job or Other for professionals), additional certificates and courses, achievements and skill sets, and an Achievements / Awards gallery of photos with captions.

  • Can I hide my mobile number or e-mail address?

Yes. You can choose whether other users can see your mobile number and your e-mail address. Bidders never see a Service Recipient's details until the recipient has paid and assigned the work.

  • Who can see my profile?

Your public profile can be viewed by anyone, including visitors who are not signed in, and can appear in search engines. Your wallet, files, bookmarks, jobs applied, meetings and alert settings are visible only to you.
