Amazon Wholesale Cuts Losses 44% To INR 344.7 Cr In FY24
Amazon Wholesale, the wholesale arm of Amazon India, reduced its losses by 44% to INR 344.7 crore in FY24, down from INR 615.7 crore in the previous fiscal year. Despite a marginal increase of 0.6% in revenue from operations, the company managed to cut its total expenditure by 6.2% to INR 3,956 crore. Amazon Wholesale’s total income for the fiscal stood at INR 3,613.8 crore. The company’s wholesale unit functions as a B2B distribution channel, supplying products in bulk to third-party vendors. This reduction in losses is part of Amazon India’s broader strategy to streamline operations and improve financial performance across its various business units. The company’s logistics arm and fintech arm, Amazon Pay, also reported reductions in losses during the same period. Amazon’s efforts to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency have contributed to the improved financial outcomes for its wholesale business.
