The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has launched Special Campaign 4.0, focusing on cleanliness and efficient use of office space. The campaign, running from October 2 to October 31, 2024, has already freed up 1,00,000 sq. ft of space and generated over Rs. 9,80,000 from scrap disposal. The initiative includes activities like waste-to-wealth projects, indoor plantations, and health camps for Safai Mitras. The campaign also resolved over 16,000 public grievances. CBDT is using social media to promote the campaign, with over 300 tweets highlighting their efforts. The campaign aims to maintain clean workplaces, dispose of redundant files, and reduce public grievance backlogs. Daily progress is monitored and reported on the SCPDM portal. The campaign has seen enthusiastic participation from officers and officials across India, contributing to its success in achieving its goals.
