Contraband Recovered Individually From Accused Persons Travelling Together Has To Be Considered Separately At Stage Of Bail: J&K High Court

The Jammu & Kashmir High Court ruled that in cases of contraband recovery under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act, separate seizures from accused individuals traveling together are admissible as evidence. The court held that the proximity and joint travel of the accused could be relevant factors in establishing their connection to the recovered contraband, even if seized separately.
