Delhi High Court Asks DoE To Consider Framing Guidelines To Correct Typographical Errors In EWS Admission Forms
The Delhi High Court directed the Directorate of Education (DoE) to consider framing guidelines to address typographical errors in EWS (Economically Weaker Section) admission forms. The court observed that minor clerical errors should not result in the denial of educational opportunities to students. It noted that such errors are often unintentional and can be easily corrected through a well-defined process. The court stressed the importance of fairness in the admission process, especially for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and urged the DoE to create a mechanism for resolving such issues.
