DGFT clarifies Applicability of Amended Para 5.10(c) of Handbook of Procedures, 2015-20 to Third-Party Exports under EPCG
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has clarified the applicability of the amended Handbook of Procedures for third-party exports under the Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme. The clarification provides guidelines for businesses involved in third-party exports, ensuring that they are aware of the requirements and benefits under the revised procedures. The EPCG scheme allows exporters to import capital goods at a concessional duty, and third-party exporters can now also avail themselves of these benefits. This development is aimed at boosting India's export sector by encouraging more businesses to engage in third-party exports, thereby enhancing overall trade performance and contributing to the growth of the economy.
