DGFT Requires Certifying Authorities like CAs, CSs to Register for Digital Certification of Appendix 4H
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has mandated that certifying authorities, such as Chartered Accountants (CAs) and Company Secretaries (CSs), must register for digital certification of Appendix 4H. This requirement aims to streamline the certification process and enhance the authenticity and security of the documents. The digital certification will be done through the DGFT’s e-platform, ensuring that the certifications are tamper-proof and easily verifiable. This measure is part of the DGFT’s efforts to digitize and modernize trade processes, reducing paperwork and improving efficiency. Certifying authorities must comply with this new requirement to continue providing certification services. This initiative highlights the importance of digital transformation in trade and compliance processes.
