Dixon Forms JV With Taiwan’s Inventec To Make PC Products In India
Indian electronics manufacturer Dixon Technologies has entered a joint venture with Taiwan's Inventec to produce laptops, tablets, and servers in India. The 60:40 partnership (Dixon majority) will invest ₹500 crore initially to set up manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu. Targeting both domestic and export markets, the JV aims to capitalize on India's PLI scheme for IT hardware. Production is expected to begin by early 2025, with annual capacity reaching 5 million units. This strengthens India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem amid global supply chain diversification.
