Failing To Refund Advances As Per Agreed Terms: Delhi State Commission Holds TDI Infracorp Liable For Deficiency In Service
The Delhi State Consumer Commission held TDI Infracorp liable for deficiency in service after failing to refund advances as per agreed terms with a customer. The customer had made advance payments for a real estate project, but the developer did not honor the refund agreement when the project failed to meet the expected timelines. The Commission found that the developer had not acted in good faith, violating the terms of the agreement, and thereby causing financial and mental distress to the consumer. As a result, TDI Infracorp was directed to refund the amount with interest and pay compensation for the inconvenience caused.
