Govt imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Sodium Citrate and Glufosinate and its salt from Two Countries
The government has imposed anti-dumping duties on sodium citrate imports from China and glufosinate from China and Malaysia for five years, following DGTR's recommendation. The duties range from $0.181 to $0.615 per kg for sodium citrate and 20-30% ad valorem for glufosinate. This protectionist measure aims to shield domestic manufacturers like Amaravati Agrochemicals from cheap imports that were undercutting local prices. Importers must now pay the duties through bank guarantees until final assessment, with provisions for refunds if the final duty is lower.
