MP Judicial Services: High Court Orders Migration Of Meritorious Reserved Category Candidates To Unreserved Category In Future Recruitment Exams
The Madhya Pradesh High Court ruled that meritorious reserved category candidates should be considered for unreserved category positions in all stages of recruitment exams. This decision came in response to a plea arguing that the existing system did not provide migration benefits to meritorious reserved category candidates at every stage of the selection process. The court directed that in future recruitment exams conducted by the Examination Cell of the High Court, meritorious reserved category candidates should be placed in the unreserved category if they secure equal or more marks than unreserved category candidates. The court clarified that this ruling would not affect ongoing recruitment exams. The decision aims to ensure that reserved category candidates who perform exceptionally well are not disadvantaged and can compete on an equal footing with unreserved category candidates.
