Peak XV-Backed Toplyne Shuts Operations
Toplyne, a SaaS startup backed by Peak XV Partners and Tiger Global, has decided to shut down operations and return capital to investors. Despite raising over $17 million and being valued at approximately $80 million, the company struggled to scale and achieve product-market fit. Founded in 2021, Toplyne aimed to help product-led companies convert free users into paying customers through its AI-powered platform. The decision to wind down was influenced by the inability to reach desired growth and internal team differences, including the exit of co-founder Rohit Khanna. The company joins other startups like Greenik and Bluelearn in shutting down operations in 2024 while returning partial capital to investors.
