Swish Bags $2 Mn From Accel To Deliver Food In 10 Minutes
About three months after incorporation, 10-minute food delivery startup Swish has raised $2 Mn in a seed funding round led by VC firm Accel. The round also saw participation from angel investors such as founders of Urban Company Abhiraj Bhal and Varun Khaitan, former Swiggy Instamart head Karthik Gurumurthy, and others. The funds will be used to expand operations and scale its delivery across Bengaluru. Swish, founded by Aniket Shah, Ujjwal Sukheja, and Saran S, aims to deliver a range of fast food offerings in 10 to 15 minutes via its app. The startup plans to build India’s fastest and most delightful food delivery platform, competing with Swiggy’s Bolt, Zomato Everyday, and Zepto Cafe. Quick commerce, despite being less than four years in existence, has become a $5.5-billion industry, with users opting for rapid delivery platforms over traditional e-commerce websites. Swish’s goal is to meet the growing demand for quicker food delivery times.
