Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) is poised to secure a five-year contract to handle containers at Netaji Subhas Dock of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority. \r
APSEZ, the sole bidder, quoted Rs 2,100 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU), within the port authority's ceiling rate. The deal aims to strengthen APSEZ's presence on the east coast, enhancing its portfolio among the 12 ports owned by the Union government. The contract requires an investment of approximately Rs 569.85 crore for equipment installation. \r
After approval from the port authority's board, operations are expected to commence in November. This initiative marks APSEZ's expansion in Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, complementing its existing terminal at Haldia Dock.
