Amazon India Rolls Out INR 5 Marketplace Fee For All Users

Amazon India has rolled out a new INR 5 marketplace fee for all users on most orders, with some exceptions for categories like gift cards and digital services. This fee is inclusive of all taxes and applies even to Amazon Prime members. This move by Amazon aligns with similar practices by other e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, such as Flipkart (which charges INR 3) and Zomato (which charges INR 10). Amazon stated that this marketplace fee is a common industry practice that supports its commitment to offering a wide range of products with reliable doorstep delivery.
