Apna Narrows FY25 Loss To INR 50 Cr Even As Revenue Dips
The article examines the financials of Apna, a professional-networking platform (focused on blue/grey-collar worker hiring) and unicorn status startup. For FY25 the company posted a consolidated net loss of approximately INR 50.1 crore, a slight 2.3% improvement over INR 51.3 crore in FY24. At the same time, operating revenue fell about 4% to INR 122 crore from INR 127.7 crore. Apna also reported a one-time gain of INR 9.3 crore in the year from sale of mutual funds (versus INR 0.8 crore in previous year). Its expenses slightly increased to INR 194 crore from INR 191 crore. The company's recruitment solutions segment grew 61% to INR 57.1 crore, but its software-services business declined 31% to INR 63 crore. Founded in 2019, Apna claims to connect over 59 million job-seekers and 0.7 million employers. The article highlights that while cost discipline and segment growth exist, overall revenue contraction remains a concern for the hiring-platform business in a competitive market.
