Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) signed a ₹3,172 crore contract with Armoured Vehicles Nigam (AVNL) on June 28, 2024, for the supply and installation of an advanced sighting and fire control system (FCS) for the upgrade of BMP 2/2K Tanks for the Indian Army. \r
Additionally, BEL secured orders worth ₹481 crore for doppler weather radar, classroom jammers, spares, and services. With these new contracts, BEL's total orders for FY24 amount to ₹4,803 crore. The company reported a 30.04% increase in Q4 FY24 net profit to ₹1,797.11 crore, with a 32.18% rise in revenue to ₹8,564.08 crore. \r
The stock closed 0.56% higher at ₹306.20 on the BSE.
