POP, a Bengaluru-based startup, has successfully concluded a $2.4 million seed funding round led by India Quotient and several angel investors. This funding is poised to accelerate POP’s initiatives, particularly the launch of its UPI payment service through the POPclub app. \r
Recently approved as a Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP) by NPCI, POP will offer UPI transactions in collaboration with Yes Bank and Juspay. The innovative POP UPI service will reward users with POPcoins for transactions, usable at over 200 online merchants for a variety of products. \r
Founder Bhargav Errangi aims to position POPcoins as a shopping currency catering to the evolving preferences of digitally engaged young Indians, setting POP apart with its predictable rewards system compared to other UPI apps.
