A Bengaluru court granted bail to JD(S) Member of Karnataka's Legislative Council, Suraj Revanna, who faces charges of sexually assaulting a party member. Judge Santhosh Gajanan Bhat approved the bail with conditions including a ₹2 lakh personal bond, two sureties, and restrictions on contacting witnesses, tampering with evidence, or leaving the country. Revanna must also appear before the investigating officer twice a month. The case, registered under Sections 377, 342, and 506 of the IPC, emerged after the victim, a fellow JD(S) worker, complained to state officials before filing with the police.
