BigBasket, the e-grocery platform backed by Tata Digital, experienced a decline in its FY25 revenue, largely due to intense competition from quick commerce rivals like Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart. Its B2C unit's turnover fell 3% to ₹7,673 crore, while its B2B unit saw a 7% dip to ₹2,227 crore. Losses for the B2C unit also increased significantly. Despite attempts to transition into quick commerce with "BB Now," BigBasket faces an uphill battle against established quick commerce players who dominate the market. The company is actively seeking external capital to enhance its competitive position.
