BioCompute wins India's largest early stage climate startup grant at SusCrunch 2024
At the inaugural SusCrunch 2024 event, hosted by SusMafia in collaboration with PIEDS, BioCompute, a pioneering DNA-based data storage startup, received India's largest non-equity climate startup grant amounting to ₹31.4 lakh. \r
The event gathered over 300 climate decision-makers, including 80 startups, 30 investment funds, and 20 corporates, highlighting a burgeoning interest in climate action. Key speakers such as Kuldeep Jain from CleanMax emphasized the evolution of India's climate ecosystem catalyzed by initiatives like SusMafia. \r
Priya Shah of Theia Ventures and SusMafia outlined ambitious goals to mobilize $100 million for Indian climate tech startups by 2030, underscoring the need for collaborative efforts. SusCrunch also featured pitches from ten startups focused on climate action and witnessed the soft launch of high-performance Electric Trucks by Planet Electric, showcasing advancements in sustainable transportation.\r
