CBI files charge sheet against BRS leader Kavitha in excise policy case
The CBI filed a supplementary charge sheet against BRS leader K Kavitha in a Delhi court regarding an alleged excise scam, asserting ample evidence for prosecution. Delhi's Rouse Avenue court will review the matter on July 6. Kavitha's judicial custody was extended till June 21. \r
The Enforcement Directorate had previously filed charges against her. According to the ED's chargesheet, Kavitha conspired with the 'South Group' and AAP leaders, allegedly involving Rs 100 crore in kickbacks. The ED claimed Kavitha was involved in generating, acquiring, and using Rs 292.8 crore in proceeds from the alleged scam. \r
She was arrested in April and is currently in judicial custody in both cases.
