CBIC Issues Corrigendum to Extend Anti-Dumping Duties on LAB Beyond Iran and Qatar
The CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) has issued a "corrigendum to extend anti-dumping duties on LAB (Linear Alkyl Benzene) beyond Iran and Qatar." This amendment signifies that the anti-dumping duty, initially imposed on LAB imports from Iran and Qatar for five years from June 23, 2025, will now also apply to other countries. This measure is taken to protect the domestic industry from cheap imports that are being dumped into India at prices below their normal value, causing material injury to local manufacturers.
