The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) fined Edu Tap Learning Solutions ₹3 lakh for publishing misleading advertisements claiming 144 selections in the 2023 RBI Grade B exam. Chief Commissioner Nidhi Khare directed Edu Tap to immediately discontinue the advertisement across all media and to deposit the penalty within 15 days, along with a compliance report. \r
The CCPA's action, under Section 21 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, was based on the suo motu observation that Edu Tap published false claims about exam selections on its YouTube channel.
