Shares of CSB Bank surged up to 7.2% to Rs 402 per share on the BSE following a 17.8% year-on-year growth in gross advances to Rs 25,099 crore in Q1FY25. Total deposits increased by 22.2% to Rs 29,920 crore, while CASA deposits fell by 1.3%. Term deposits rose 32.7% to Rs 22,471 crore, and advances against gold were up 24% to Rs 12,487 crore. The bank operates in SME, retail, corporate banking, and treasury operations. At 12:37 PM, CSB Bank traded 1.98% higher at Rs 382.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 0.08% at 79,540.
