DPIIT and YourStory Sign MoU to Empower 1Million Entrepreneurs Across Tier II, III and Rural India

In a significant move to support startups in smaller towns and cities, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the media platform, YourStory. This partnership, known as "The Bharat Project," is aimed at empowering the startup ecosystem in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across India. The collaboration will focus on providing visibility, mentorship, and networking opportunities to entrepreneurs in these emerging startup hubs. Through a series of events, workshops, and content initiatives, the project will showcase the innovations coming out of these regions and will connect the startups with investors and industry experts. This public-private partnership is a crucial step in fostering a more geographically inclusive startup culture in India, ensuring that entrepreneurs from all parts of the country get the support they need to succeed.
