Criminal LawMoney Laundering (PMLA)

The ED (Enforcement Directorate) has booked Rana Daggubati, Vijay Devarakonda, and 27 others for "promoting illegal betting." This significant development indicates a major crackdown by the ED on individuals, including prominent celebrities, involved in endorsing or facilitating illegal online betting operations. The booking under relevant laws, likely including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), underscores the serious legal consequences for those associated with such illicit activities. This action highlights the regulatory and law enforcement efforts to curb the burgeoning illegal betting market.
