ED, Gurugram has arrested 3 persons namely Rakesh Kumar Gulati (Chartered Accountant), Paramjeet and Ajay Yadav on 1/07/2024 under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 in case of M/s Sunstar Overseas Ltd. & others. The Hon’ble Special Judge (PMLA), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi has granted 7 days ED custody till 9/07/2024 of all the 3 accused.

On July 1, 2024, the ED Gurugram arrested Rakesh Kumar Gulati, Paramjeet, and Ajay Yadav under the PMLA, 2002, in a case involving M/s Sunstar Overseas Ltd. The accused are in ED custody until July 9, 2024. The investigation revealed that M/s SOL's ex-directors and key individuals fraudulently diverted ₹950 crore through sham transactions. The funds were used to take over SOL via a shell entity and regain control through a sham facility agreement. Further investigation is ongoing.
