ED, Srinagar has filed Supplementary Prosecution Complaint (SPC) before the Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA), Srinagar against 07 electrical contractors of J&K Housing Board namely Mohd. Shafi Parray, Wajahat Ahmad Bhat, Hilal Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Wahid Fayaz Zargar, Raja Bilal Ahmad and Riyaz Ahmad Kanth under the PMLA, 2002 in a Money Laundering case against one Junior Engineer (Electric) Tariq Ahmad Ganaie of J&K Housing Board. The Hon’ble Court has taken cognizance of the SPC.

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Srinagar Zonal Office, filed a Supplementary Prosecution Complaint (SPC) in the Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA), Srinagar, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. \r

This action targets seven electrical contractors of J&K Housing Board: Mohd. Shafi Parray, Wajahat Ahmad Bhat, Hilal Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Wahid Fayaz Zargar, Raja Bilal Ahmad, and Riyaz Ahmad Kanth. The complaint is linked to a money laundering case involving Junior Engineer Tariq Ahmad Ganaie, who allegedly received Rs. 2.94 Crore in illegal gratification and invested it in movable and immovable properties. \r

The ED had earlier filed a Prosecution Complaint against 10 individuals, including Ganaie and his wife, in April 2023.
