Exclusive: Classplus and Pravega to lead $6 Mn round in GyanDhan
GyanDhan, an education-finance platform, is nearing the closure of a $6 million funding round, co-led by Pravega Ventures and Classplus. The platform, established in 2015, facilitates student loans through partnerships with over 15 banks and NBFCs, and also operates its own NBFC. With cumulative loan originations exceeding ₹7,000 crore ($840 million) and a presence across 30 Indian cities, GyanDhan has demonstrated significant growth. In the fiscal year 2024, the company reported an operating revenue of ₹21.4 crore and a profit of ₹1.36 crore. Classplus and Pravega have already invested ₹20 crore ($2.33 million) and ₹10 crore ($1.16 million) respectively, signaling strong investor confidence in GyanDhan's potential to further expand in the education finance sector.
