Finance Ministry Notifies Amendments to Special Benami Courts in Raipur and Jaipur

The Finance Ministry has notified amendments to special Benami Courts in Raipur and Jaipur, specifically designating new Session Courts as Special Courts under the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988. This action, exercised under Section 50(1) of the Act and in consultation with the respective High Court Chief Justices, aims to streamline the adjudication of Benami property cases. For Raipur, the "Court of XII Additional Sessions Judge" is now designated, and for Jaipur, it's the "Special Court (Communal Riots)." These amendments are crucial for expediting trials and ensuring effective enforcement against illicit property transactions.
