Goa GST Dept notifies Appellate Authority Jurisdictional Officers

The Government of Goa redefined the jurisdiction of GST Appellate Authority Officers through an order on June 13, 2024, under Rule 109A of the Goa GST Rules, 2017, superseding the December 16, 2022, notification. The new jurisdictions are: 1. North Goa District: Appeals from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax-I (North) are handled by the Additional Commissioner of State Tax. 2. South Goa District: Appeals from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax-II (South) are overseen by the Additional Commissioner of State Tax. 3. Entire State of Goa: Appeals against orders by the State Tax Officer or Assistant State Tax Officer are managed by the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax. The changes aim to streamline the GST appeals process.
