As part of its "GST Pakhwada 2025" initiative, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is rolling out several taxpayer-friendly measures, effective from July. This 15-day outreach program aims to enhance GST compliance and resolve taxpayer grievances. Key measures include the establishment of dedicated helpdesks at GST Commissionerates across the country to provide on-the-spot assistance to taxpayers. Additionally, new rules for GST return filing are being introduced to simplify the process. The "GST Pakhwada" will also feature seminars and workshops to educate traders and businesses about recent changes in GST law and to encourage them to adopt best compliance practices. This proactive initiative by the CBIC is designed to foster a more collaborative relationship between the tax administration and taxpayers, making it easier for businesses to comply with the GST regulations.
