The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has successfully resolved a technical validation error that was preventing taxpayers under the Quarterly Return Monthly Payment (QRMP) scheme from filing refund applications. Previously, when QRMP taxpayers attempted to claim a refund for excess tax paid, the GST portal was erroneously flagging a validation error, blocking the submission. This glitch caused significant inconvenience and cash flow issues for many small and medium-sized businesses that operate under the QRMP scheme. The GSTN's technical team has now deployed a fix for this issue on the official portal. Following this resolution, QRMP taxpayers can now proceed with filing their refund applications in Form RFD-01 without encountering the validation error. This correction is a crucial operational relief, ensuring that taxpayers can access their legitimate refunds in a timely manner, thereby maintaining business liquidity.
