GSTN Issues Biometric Aadhaar Authentication Advisory for Uttarakhand GST Registrants

The GSTN has implemented a biometric Aadhaar authentication system for GST registration in Uttarakhand, effective from July 28, 2024. Applicants are identified based on data analysis and risk parameters and must complete either OTP-based or biometric-based Aadhaar authentication. For the latter, an appointment must be booked at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric verification and document submission. Applicants need to bring the appointment confirmation email, Aadhaar and PAN cards, and original documents uploaded with their application.
