The Delhi High Court was informed by the Central government that a high-level committee, including IIT Delhi experts, has been established to investigate the roof collapse at Terminal 1 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, which resulted in one fatality. The committee will examine similar incidents at airports in Jabalpur and Rajkot. The government has mandated third-party audits of airport infrastructure and annual evaluations before the monsoon. An FIR has been filed for negligence causing death. The PIL seeking a SIT or CBI probe into the incidents was closed after the Court reviewed the government’s response and remedial actions.
