‘How Can Doctors Work In Insecurity?’: Kerala HC Seeks Report On Safety Of Hospital Staff After Attack On Doctor
The Kerala High Court took suo motu note of a violent assault on a doctor in Kozhikode and directed the State Government to file a report on safety measures for healthcare workers. The Court expressed grave concern over recurring attacks in hospitals and observed that doctors cannot be expected to work in constant fear. It stressed that violence against medical professionals is unacceptable and sought measures such as improved security, screening of weapons, and restricted public access in hospitals.
