ICSI advises Uploading MGT-8 Certification as Optional Attachment in Form MGT-7 on MCA V3 Portal

The ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) has advised "uploading MGT-8 certification as optional attachment in Form MGT-7 on MCA V3 portal." Following recent amendments to Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2025, MGT-8 certification is embedded as a static field within Form MGT-7. However, the ICSI recommends that members continue to provide MGT-8 certification on their letterhead with a UDIN and attach it as an optional document. This ensures professional due diligence and addresses initial ambiguities during the transition to the new MCA V3 portal for annual filings.
