India Revises Anti-Dumping Duty on Decor Paper Imports from China
The Government of India has revised the anti-dumping duty on the import of decor paper from China. Decor paper is a specialty paper used in the furniture and laminate industry. The revision of the duty follows a review investigation conducted by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR). The review was likely initiated to assess whether the dumping of the paper from China was continuing and whether it was still causing injury to the domestic industry. The revised duty rate would have been determined based on the latest findings of the investigation. This move is aimed at ensuring that the domestic decor paper industry is adequately protected from unfair competition from subsidized or dumped imports from China, thereby providing them with a level playing field in the domestic market.
