On July 2, the London-based DNEG Group, a subsidiary of Indian visual effects company Prime Focus, announced a $200 million strategic investment from United Al Saqer Group (UASG) at a $2 billion valuation. This investment will support DNEG's shift from visual effects to a diversified content production and AI technology partner. DNEG plans to fully activate its AI-powered technology division, Brahma, and expand its content creation arm, Prime Focus Studios. The Group will also open a new visual experience hub in Abu Dhabi, enhancing its global capabilities and creating job opportunities. DNEG CEO Namit Malhotra and UASG’s Nabil Kobeissi will join the board, with Prabhu Narasimhan becoming Executive Chairman of Brahma.
