Indkal Nets $20 Million for Expansion of Its Smart TV Brand Wobble
Indkal Technologies raised $20 million in Series B bridge funding led by existing investors and new institutional backers, including domestic family offices. The capital will accelerate the growth of its premium smart TV brand, Wobble Displays, fueling R&D, sales, marketing, and service infrastructure expansion. Indkal aims to launch new display categories under the Wobble brand during the festive season and position it as a homegrown luxury player in India. The company launched the Maximus series featuring a 116.5-inch TV, India’s largest, reinforcing the brand’s leadership in large-format displays. Indkal plans a larger $100 million funding round by March 2026 to expand product lines including smartphones, air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines, leveraging partnerships with manufacturers like Dixon Technologies for production. CEO Anand Dubey sees India as a global hub for R&D and manufacturing and aspires for Wobble’s international expansion after solidifying the domestic market. This initiative highlights rising investor confidence in consumer electronics startups incorporating innovation and indigenous branding.
