The Central government has officially appointed Justice Sheel Nagu as the Acting Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. This designation comes as Chief Justice Ravi Malimath is set to step down from his position on May 24. \r
Justice Nagu, who enrolled as an advocate on October 5, 1987, has a longstanding career in civil and constitutional law, primarily practicing at the High Court of Madhya Pradesh in Jabalpur. His journey in the judiciary began when he was appointed as an additional judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on May 27, 2011. Recognizing his contributions and competence, he was subsequently elevated to the position of a permanent judge on May 23, 2013. \r
With his extensive experience and proven dedication to the legal profession, Justice Nagu is poised to assume the responsibilities of Acting Chief Justice, ensuring the continued effective functioning of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
