Kerala Finance Minister revises Tax Proposals, Duties and Fees announced in Kerala Budget
Kerala's Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal announced key tax, duty, and fee revisions in the State Budget. Notable changes include reduced family court fees and an exemption from electricity duty for solar 'prosumers'. The Finance Bill introduces a new fee structure for family court petitions and appeals, exempts dwelling house values, and revises court fees under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Additionally, reduced tax rates for motor vehicles, especially all-India tourist buses, were announced.
