Lok Adalat Disposes 35.85L Cases Across Karnataka, Settlement To Tune Of Rs 2.4K Crore
The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) conducted a National Lok Adalat on September 14, 2024, where a total of 35,84,430 cases were settled, with settlements amounting to approximately Rs 2,402 crores. The event involved both pending and pre-litigation cases, including motor vehicle accidents, cheque bounce cases, and criminal matters. The KSLSA made special efforts to provide tax rebates for property owners, benefitting nearly 5,95,892 taxpayers. Key officials, including Chief Justice N.V. Anjaria, praised the collaboration among judiciary members, advocates, and public officials in facilitating the event.
