Manjummel Boys Producers in Trouble, ED launches Investigation against Money Laundering Allegations
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) is probing 'Parava Films', the producers of 'Manjummel Boys', for alleged black money transactions. Notices were issued to producers Soubin Shahir, his father Babu Shahir, and Shaun Antony for questioning. \r
Earlier, the Maradu police submitted a report in the High Court alleging financial fraud by the producers, promising dividends to investors. The filmmakers' lawyer abandoned the case, and their anticipatory bail request was postponed. Justice C S Dias issued a stern warning, calling it their last chance. \r
The ED's investigation follows raids on production companies associated with the film industry. The case, initiated by a complaint from Siraj Hameed, alleges deliberate cheating by the producers.
