The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has notified the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) (Amendment) Rules, 2024, effective August 1, 2024. Key amendments include a change in the timeline for updating director details to September 30 of the financial year and an allowance for directors to update their mobile number or email address multiple times during the year by submitting e-form DIR-3 KYC with a fee of Rs. 500.
